Design Your System - Step 1

Step 1: Choose Your Evaporator

Calculate the size of your box in cubic feet:
     In inches: length x width x depth / 1728 = cubic feet

If you have a single box in which you want a small freezer space, choose a pre-bent evaporator, mounting it either horizontal or vertical:

Series H: Horizontal Mount with Door

Series B: Bin, Vertical, Open Top

If your box will be all refrigerator or all freezer, choose a flat plate evaporator, to get maximu use of your space.

Series F: Flat Bendable

If you have a large single box that has, or can have, an insulated divider in it, you can create a spillover system. Install a Flat Bendable evaporator plate in the freezer section and a spillover fan in the divider wall to "spill over" cold air from the freezer side to the refrigerator side.

To select the correct size plate for the spillover job, use the following formula:

Double the freezer cubic feet volume, add the refrigerator cubic feet volume, consider the box as all refrigerator. EX: 3 cu ft freezer + 9 cu ft refrigerator, considered a 15 cu ft refrigerator (3 x 3 + 9 = 15).
